All of us know that breastfeeding is the best way to keep a baby healthy and that there are several benefits of breastfeeding.   • Ditch the Gym – If you are a lactating mother, you will not require visiting a gymnasium because supplying milk constantly and regularly burns calories. Breastfeeding is a fantastic exercise which not many of us are aware of. At least 500 calories are burned while breastfeeding. So, next time you are pregnant and are worried about losing post natal weight, just remember to breastfeed your baby.
  • Not Milk – The new mom’s body produces a thick liquid known as colostrums which is yellowish orange in color and is a rich source of carbohydrates, proteins. In addition colostrum contains lots of antibodies to boost your child’s immunity. This liquid is produced before the secretion of milk and the young one sometimes feeds on the breast on its own. The young one also begins to know its mother by the touch of the skin.
  • You are Right – Around 80% of moms produce more milk with their right breast. This is a proven fact but has no association with being right-handed.
  • Known Fragrance – The smell of the mom who breastfeeds her baby sticks to the baby forever. Thus, it can figure out the mother even in a crowd.
  • Nipple Knowledge – Contrary to the belief, breast milk pours out of multiple holes instead of one. The exact number of pores varies between 10 and 20 depending on mom to mom.
  • Size Doesn’t Matter – It is a wrong notion that the amount of milk produced varies depending on the breast size. In reality, it does not. It depends on hormonal secretion.
  • Implant Bubble – This is yet another false notion that women with implants cannot breastfeed their baby. Implants do not impact breastfeeding thus enabling moms to feed their toddlers without any harm.
